Jamey Brumbaugh
Jamey is a third year Clinical Psychology graduate student at West Virginia University where he is a member of the Anxiety, Psychophysiology, and Pain Research Laboratory directed by Dr. Dan McNeil. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Certificate in Genomics, Ethics, & Society from Juniata College (Huntingdon PA) in December of 2017. Broadly, Jamey’s research interests are influenced by the fields of Clinical, Health, and Evolutionary Psychology. He has successfully defended his master’s thesis (December 2021) on the psychometric evaluation of knowledge-based genetic literacy instruments. Jamey’s primary research interests include psychosocial implications of advancing genetic technologies in healthcare and medicine. Clinically, Jamey is most interested in the behavioral treatment of insomnia and other sleep-related disorders. When free Jamey enjoys playing basketball & volleyball, walking his dog, and spending time with his friends & family.
