Kristine Durkin

Kristine Durkin MS is a doctoral candidate in the Clinical Child Psychology graduate program at West Virginia University. She is a secondary lab member in the Anxiety, Psychophysiology, and Pain Research Laboratory. She is a Ruth L. Kirschstein Pre-Doctoral Fellow and is funded through an F31 grant from the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health. Kristine’s dissertation is focused on evaluating barriers to nutritional adherence in adolescents with Cystic Fibrosis. Her clinical and research interests involve adherence and self-management to medical regimens, doctor-parent-child communication, behavioral interventions to promote positive health behavior in pediatric populations, and the psychosocial functioning of children with chronic illnesses and injuries. Kristine’s favorite pastime activities include running, hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
